In the Jury of the Mediterranean Film Festival: Rada Šešić, Ibtisan Mara´ana and Elma Tataragić
The members of the 11th MFF are the directress, lecturer and curator Rada Šešić, Israeli-Palestinian directress and the last-year MFF winner Ibtisam Mara´ana, and the selector to the Sarajevo Film Festival, scriptwriter and the lecturer at Sarajevo Film Academy Elma Tataragić. The Jury shall assign two awards – MFF Grand Prix and the Special Jury Award.



Rada Šešiċ was born in Bjelovar (Croatia), lived in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), now lives in The Netherlands. Worked as a film critic and a journalist for Radio-Television Sarajevo and for the film magazine Sineast. Directed several shorts and documentaries in her home country. Lived in India during the 1990/1991 and specialised South Asian cinema. From 1993 lives in Utrecht. Collaborates on the program of two biggest film festivals in The Netherlands: IFFRotterdam and IDFA in Amsterdam and has been on a selection of IDFA’s  Fund Jan Vrijman since its beginning.
 


Ibtisam Mara'ana a Palestinian – Israeli. Directress, Producer and Photographer. She was born in 1975. She has devoted the past 10 years to creating and promoting cinema that advances women and speaks about the relationships of women within Palestinian-Arab society. She has lectured widely in Israel in a variety of settings including women’s organizations, institutes of higher education – and perceives herself as a pioneer in her field.


Elma Tataragić was born in Sarajevo in 1976. She has graduated Dramaturgy at Sarajevo Academy of Performing Arts. She is one of the founders of Sarajevo Film Festival where she now works as selector for Competition Program (feature and shorts), IN FOCUS and BH FILM programs. She is also secretary general and a member of BH Filmmakers Association. She has been teaching screenwriting at Sarajevo Academy of Performing Arts since 2002. She has completed postgraduate studies and is currently working on her thesis on screenwriting. She is also attending London-based Script Factory scriptwriting courses.
