Premieres of the films by home authors at the 17th MFF
‘Films by home authors’ is the title of the Off program where Mediterranean Film Festival presents home film production. The same will be this year too with the premieres of the films ‘Petra’s Choice’, ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Craze’ and ‘A Second Family’ that will be screened on the first day of the festival, on Wednesday 24 August.

‘Petra’s Choice’, directed by Ivan Čolak from Široki Brijeg, brings the story about a high school student who has ‘sweet troubles’ after falling in love with her brother’s friend. Besides high school love, the film talks about the friendship and doubt that Petra’s choice brings.

‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Craze’ is a new film made by Mario Ćužić from Čapljina, based in Tokyo, and who was earlier introduced to the audience in Široki Brijeg through his music documentaries. This time too, Mario’s ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Craze’ takes us to dark places of Tokyo’s rock ‘n’ roll underground scene and talks about the passion of one man and his devotion to music.

'A Second Family’, film directed by Zdenko Jurilj, presents the Association fra. Mladen Hrkać, which is active in BH and Croatia and which helps families that end up in hopeless situation, caused by an illness or an accident. This is a narrative documentary story about a reality that the general public cannot see though the mainstream media and bunch of politics, showbiz, money splendour or ideological and national conflicts.
