We are going online: 20 films in the competition of 21 MFF
This year's 21st Mediterranean Film Festival will be held from August 19 to 22 in Široki Brijeg in an online edition. In this specific year, when the global pandemic paralyzed social life, we decided to switch the MFF to digital platforms. This decision was not easy to make, especially because the Mediterranean Film Festival for two decades has profiled itself as a casual, colorful, friendly festival, which has aroused the interest of audiences and far beyond the borders of our country. But aware that in this situation, above all, we must be responsible and patient, that we must take care of the safety of the community, we decided to transfer films from the screen to your homes - all films will be shown via digital platform on the official festival website www.mff.ba.Although this year's MFF is deprived of festival socializing and magic due to circumstances, the organizers will make sure that virtual visitors are not deprived of quality film content. In addition to films from the competition, we will show films from the "In Focus" program, as well as the best domestic films.
The festival selector Zdravko Mustać chose excellent works, some of which have already won awards at big festivals in the region and the world, while some of them will have its premiere screenings.
The six-member international jury will decide on the following awards: “Grand Prix” in the feature documentary category, sponsored by HT Eronet and the “Best Short” in the short film category, sponsored by Podravka.
