Armed with a fleet of heavy machinery, Manolo embarks on a titanic task: to dig up his past, destroyed by the La Palma volcano. With a determination that defies all odds, he battles against time to rebuild a life of hard work and leave a legacy. His silent hours of labour, working through the trauma, reflect the contradiction between the desire to restore the irretrievable and the understanding that time and nature do not forgive. An intimate and poignant portrait of a man who, despite the odds, never stops searching for a piece of hope in the dust of his life.
