The Man who Gulps Down Zeros
Mili Đukić i Goran Stojkić / Bosnia and Herzegovina / 31' / 2023.
Synopsis

The film follows part of the poet Vuk Rodić's day, early in the morning when he ritually drinks coffee with his mother, goes to buy bread and along the way visits three usual places in Sarajevo. He is a street walker, a man who walks the same streets of Sarajevo every day, according to his own routine, a man whom many people know only as a passerby but do not know who he really is, what he does or what his life story is. Through three recited poems, which the three chapters of the film are started with, and each is an introduction to Vuk's monologue, we will get to know one segment of Vuk's life: his childhood, student days and the beginning of his illness – hen his view of the literature that saved his life - and finally his everyday life, reconciliation and awareness of the time and space in which he lives.
