There will be six world’s premieres, four international and ten regional premieres within the competition program of documentary films at the Sarajevo Film Festival.

Film “The Patient”, directed by Zdenko Jurilj and produced by Tomislav Bubalo from the production company Kadar from Široki Brijeg, will be among the documentaries that will have their world’s premiere. The film is a narrative documentary story about a condition in which every man can find himself. The patient is a film inspired by Kant’s thought: “What can I know? What do I have to do? What to hope for? What is a man?



Zdenko Jurilj is a journalist who has been working in press and the radio for 17 years. For the last 15 years he has worked for Večernji list daily newspaper as a reporter-journalist. Besides the rich journalism career, he is also the director and screenwriter of the film Patient and he has 6 documentary films in his career, for now. The cameraman of the film is Antoni Ćorić and, while Tomislav Topić is in charge of sound and editing.

After the premiere screening at 19th Sarajevo Film Festival, “The patient” will have its Herzegovinian premiere at this year’s Mediterranean Film Festival that will take place in Široki Brijeg from 26th to 31st of August.
