MFF School is the project of the Mediterranean Film Festival that is trying to bring young people closer to the art of film through the film workshop. The project is done in cooperation with the film camp for youth Outside the Lens from Clifornia, USA. Cooperation with YouTube Space LA and Rough Cut Media camp from Philadelphia (USA) has also been achieved in the past few years.
The workshop leader is Lucy Eagleson (OTL), and standard associates are Tyler Gunderson (YouTube Space LA), Luke Grigg (Circle 3 production), Antoni Ćorić (Kadar) and Hrvoje Bazina (Vern). MFF Shool also hosted Midge Costin (USC Cinematic Arts) from LA, Douglas Herman (RCM) and Kyle Joseph Petty. The workshop was attended by about 30 young people from the United States. Workshop participants from BiH work on developing of the idea and the script and finally shoot and edit a film that is premiered at the Mediterranean Film Festival. MFF School has been working since 2013 and the films created at the workshop were awarded at numerous festivals for children and youth.
We are highlighting the Grand Prix and the Audience award for the movie The Bridge (2015) at the 9th Four River Film Festival in Karlovac and the Best Short Feature Film Award at the Dubrovnik Film Festival for the film Chips (2013).
