'Film Forward' program in Siroki Brijeg

The Embassy of the USA in BiH, in the cooperation with the ‘Sundance’ Institute and ‘Deblokada’, has the honor of presenting the continuation of the tour of ‘FILM FORWARD’ program that comes to Široki Brijeg on Tuesday 24 of September after Sarajevo, Zenica and Mostar.

Eight contemporary films have been presented to BH audience within this world known program, besides which the workshops, discussions with the authors and round tables with artists have been organized

On Tuesday September 24, at 12h in Široki Brijeg’s National library, the Embassy of the USA will organize special screening of the film by Stacy Peralt ‘Bones Brigade: Autobiography’.

The second screening is at 18h and the film that will be screened is ‘Valley of Saints’ directed by Musa Syeed.

After the screenings all the present will have the chance to talk to the authors Musa Syeed and Stacy Peralt, the directress of ‘FILM FORWARD’ Meredith Lavitt and with the director of ‘Sundance Film Festival’ John Cooper. Besides Bosnia and Herzegovina, ‘FILM FORWARD’ has visited China, Colombia, Jordan and Mexico.

Sundance Institute – nonprofit organization from the federal State of Utah that was founded by Robert Redford in 1981 with the goal of improvement of the film workers and artists all over the world – has founded ‘FILM FORWARD’ in partnership with four agencies for culture from the USA, with the goal of using the strength of film for the purpose of the promotion of wider culture understanding, inspiring the curiosity and strengthening awareness of mutual stories and values that overcome the borders of generations, languages, education and territories.
