The team of the film workshop at the 16th MFF created the film “The Bridge”. Besides the regular teachers Lucy Eagleson (OTL) and Tyler Gunderson (YOUTUBE), coordinator Hilary Morefield also joined the workshop and she also comes from the American film organization for young people “Outside the Lens”.
MFF has been cooperating with this organization for four years, so five young people from San Diego took part in this workshop. Besides for the former workshop attendees a three-day workshop was organized for the new filmmakers from Široki Brijeg. Twenty attendees from Široki Brijeg together with their American colleagues had the opportunity to find out everything necessary for creation of a short feature film through the program of the workshop.
Along with the lectures, the attendees directly participated in the process of creating the film “The Bridge”. They tried their hand at writing the script, directing, acting, shooting, editing and postproduction. The workshop lasted 12 days and “The Bridge” had its premiere at the opening of the 16th Mediterranean Film Festival. The workshop attendees offered five stories for shooting and the jury of the workshop chose the theme of the film “The Bridge”. The film crew held a press conference before the premiere where they presented the film poster too.
MFF School 2014
Production of the film workshop at the 15th MFF created a short film “The Color yellow”. Twenty young movie makers from Široki Brijeg worked hard to bring their story to the screen.
With their effort, the teachers of the workshop, Lucy Eagleson and Tyler Gunderson, bolstered the workshop participants’ film knowledge by teaching them about all the elements needed for creation of a film. Through learning about script, direction, dramaturgy and acting, the new participants, together with already established young film makers, created this film and reinforced their knowledge at the very set.
The chief assistant of the workshop was Antoni Ćorić, and the film was screened at the closing of the 15th MFF. The film was shot in 4K resolution thanks to cooperation with YouTube Space LA and RED. Tyler Gunderson also had a lecture about the evolution of the media and the future of the YouTube videos.

The result of the film workshop for beginners at 14th edition of Mediterranean Film Festival was creation of a short feature film Chips. The workshop manager was Mrs Lucy Eagleson from Escondido in California. Lucy graduated film and TV production at the University in South California.
The attendees of the workshop were able to learn everything needed for creation of a short film. Besides the lectures, the attendees directly participated in the process of film making. They tried their hand in writing scenarios, directing, acting, shooting and editing. The chief assistant to the workshop was Antoni Ćorić. Film Chips was screened at the closing of the 14th MFF.
The film workshop for professionals at 14th edition of Mediterranean Film Festival brought new knowledge about sound editing in film. The workshop manager was Midge Costin who has worked as the sound editor and designer at Hollywood movies for the past 20 years. She was the Oscar nominee for sound editing for the movies “Armageddon” and “Crimson Tide”. The attendees of the workshop learned all about film sound, and most of the workshop was dedicated to sound editing, respectively editing of the dialogues, effects and music. The chief assistant to the workshop was Tomislav Bubalo.
