Bosnian-Herzegovinian films at Berlinale
Two Bosnian-Herzegovinian feature films shall be screened at 63rd Berlin Film Festival. New film by Danis Tanović “An episode in the life of an iron picker” was included in the official selection of this festival’s A category and is competing for the prestigious awards Golden and Silver Bear. This film was shot a year ago, and it was inspired by a true story that is played in the film by its real heroes. The film was produced by Amra Bakšić Ćamo, and it’s a low budget creation that was supported by the Association of filmmakers in B&H Sarajevo.


The film by Bobo Jelčić from Mostar “A Stranger” that was done in the Croatian B&H coproduction shall be screened in the Forum Program, which represents the newest tendencies in the world’s cinematography. The producer of the film us Zdenka Gold from the Croatian production house Spiritus Movens and the co-producers are Tomislav Bubalo and Tomislav Topić from the production house Kadar from Široki Brijeg. The film brings the story of the friendship in the post-war Mostar. The roles in the film are played by Bogdan Diklić, Nada Đurevska, Ivana Roščić, Izudin Bajrović, Vinko Kraljević, Slaven Knezović, Sergej Trifunović and others.
