“Cowboys” and “A Stranger” – feature films at 14th MFF
Even though the accent at the Mediterranean Film Festival is on documentary film, the same as earlier, this year’s MFF is trying to keep up with the production of feature film in our region. Therefore, we can single out two film hits in the program of feature film out of the competition: “A Stranger” and “Cowboys”.  
The movie “A Stranger”, which will be screened on the 29th of August within the feature film program of MFF, was made in co production between Croatia and BH and is the first feature film made by Bobo Jelčić. This film was the absolute winner of Pula Film Festival and is in the competition of this year’s Sarajevo Film Festival.  



“A Stranger” brings the story of friendship in the post-war Mostar. The lead actors are Bogdan Diklić and Nada Đurevska, and the other roles are played by Ivana Roščić, Rakan Rushaidat, Izudin Bajrović, Vinko Kraljević, Nermin Tulić, Hadžija Hadžibajramović, Šerif Aljić, Nermin Karačić, Sadžida Šetić, Ivo Krešić, Selma Alispahić, Slaven Knezović...The producer of the film is Zdenka Gold from Croatian production house Spiritus Movens and co producers are Tomislav Bubalo and Tomislav Topić from Kadar production from Široki Brijeg.  

 One of the best projects in the region in 2013, for sure, film “Cowboys” directed by Tomislav Mršić, is chosen for the film that will close this year’s MFF.

Film “Cowboys”, made according to the absolute hit play of the theatre Exit from Zagreb, which won the award from Croatian association of dramatic artists for the best play, have almost the same success in its film adaptation. As the most awaited and the biggest attraction of the Pula Festival, it won the audience in Arena and won the Golden Gate of Pula Audience Award with the score of 4.79.  



“Cowboys” are a group of socially maladjusted amateur actors and they are played by: Saša Anočić, Živko Anočić, Hrvoje Barišić, Kruno Klabučar, Ivana Rushaidat, Rakan Rushaidat and Radovan Ruždjak.

With the screening at the 14th MFF, besides being the closing film, “Cowboys” will have their BH premiere, while the film comes to cinemas in October.
