‘The Garden of Eden’ Won The Grand Prix of 14TH MFF
One more Mediterranean Film Festival is behind us. Within the competition of 22 documentary films in total, in the category of feature length documentary films, Israeli film ‘The Garden of Eden’, directed by Ran Tal, won the Grand Prix – Jack Daniels MFF projector.

“Film ‘The Garden of Eden’ impresses with the multiple layer story and impressive expression as the most complete work screened in the feature length competition” said the jury composed of Nedžad Begović, Dean Šoša and Sergio Oksman.The jury composed of Lucy Eagleson, Jelena Jindra and Tomislav Ćavar pronounced the film ‘The Verdict’, directed by Đuro Gavran, as the best short documentary.

‘This is the film that shows close-up portraits of people and emotions on the faces of the citizens that wait pronouncement of the verdict to the general Ante Gotovina. With the skilled eye of the camera the author finds vivid characters and with the help of their physiognomy and great editing he succeeds to transmit the state of the masses.’ said the three member jury. The audience decided on the third award of the 14th MFF and with the score of 4.58, the MFF projector went to the film ‘The Gangster of Love’ directed by Nebojša Slijepčević.  

The official closing of the festival started with the short film ‘Chips’ from the workshop of our MFF amateurs that was managed by Lucy Eagleson, then followed the awarding ceremony and in the end the prime minister of the West Herzegovinian County government Zdenko Ćosić had the honor of closing the festival.

The film end of this year’s festival was marked by B&H premiere of the feature film ‘Cowboys’, directed by Tomislav Mršić, while the unofficial closure of MFF was at the after party at Pajo’s place.  

Excellent week full of short, feature length documentaries and movies, great parties, dancing, workshops, awards…is behind us. Wait for the 15th Mediterranean Film Festival in company of good film stories.
