'The scent of the film tape' – Mustafa Mustafić's book promotion at MFF
Cinematographer and director of photography Mustafa Mustafić's book "The Scent of Film Tape" will be presented on August 24 at 11 a.m. at the National Library in Široki Brijeg as part of the Mediterranean Film Festival. It is a testimony of the extraordinary dedication to the profession, which was not only a profession but also a way of life.

In his book Mustafić remembers the first movie clubs and the birth of BH cinema, as well as the hit films in which he participated, first as a volunteer, then as an assistant to soon become a leading cinematographer.

Mustafa Mustafić was born in 1942 in Sarajevo. In the beginning of the 60’s he became a member of the film club Riječ mladih and Cinema club Sarajevo. He studied at the Academy of the performing arts in Zagreb, and since 1965 he has been a member of the Association of Film Workers. From 1969 to 1979 he worked as a cameraman at Television Sarajevo. In 1980 he again started to work as a freelance filmmaker and continued until he retired. For several years he worked as film photography lecturer for the students of direction at the Academy of performing arts in Sarajevo. Occasionally he makes documentary films and teaches filming at Sarajevo Film Academy. He is the president of the Association of cinematographers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and winner of numerous awards.

Maja Begtašagić is presenting the book with the author.
