Seven domestic masterpieces at 22. MFF
Mediterranean Film Festival is screening seven masterpieces of domestic cinematography within the off program ‘Film Centre Sarajevo’. These films were the audience and jury favourites at festivals around the world at the time they were created.

We are going to see the family of the lighthouse keepers in the film ‘Lonely Island’, directed by Živko Ristić, the destiny of three young boys before a juvenile court judge in ‘Lost’, directed by Vlado Balvanović, and we are watching Pjer Majhrovski’s film impression of the city on the Neretva, a play of the sun, light and shadow on the streets of Mostar in the film ‘Light and Shades’.

This year’s festival is also going to present a story of boys who walk 12 kilometres every day to get to school, the film ‘Walking Pupils’, directed by Vefik Hadžismajlović. We are going to see ‘Martyr’ directed by Bakir Tanović, a story about plum brandy that used to be distilled in the fall all over Yugoslavia and film ‘Auditor’ where Mirjana Zoranović presents the everyday life of the auditor on the cable car in the ‘Vijenac’ limestone mine.

In this program, the attention of film lovers will surely be attracted by 'Investigation' directed by Nikola Stojanović, which tells the story of tragic traffic accident that took place in Klobuk near Ljubuški, where three young men lost their lives, and the problems that young people encounter and why they die on the roads.

As a legal successor of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian cinematography (Bosna film, Sutjeska film, Studio film) Film Centre Sarajevo takes care of preserving the film heritage through archiving, restoration and digitalisation of the archive materials.

In the Film Centre Sarajevo catalogue there are more than 70 feature fiction films, over 600 documentary and short films and thousands of metres of film materials that witness of the assets of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian film, and of turbulent history of the country in the period between 1945 and 1992.

All the films will be presented via digital platform on the official festival website www.mff.ba.
