Filming of feature film Stigmas completed
The filming of the feature film "Stigmas", directed by Zdenko Jurilj and written by Josip Mlakić, was completed at the end of autumn. With a classic film narrative, “Stigmas” tells the story of human existence in Herzegovina after the Second World War. Bare existentialism and new ideological principles are intertwined in firmly rooted traditionalism. Despite a strong repressive police apparatus, smuggling tobacco to Bosnia was almost the only way to survive.

The film stars Bojan Beribaka, Ivo Krešić, Miro Barnjak, Ivan Skoko, Mario Knezović and Robert Pehar. The director of photography is Mirko Pivčević, and the author of the music is Gabrijel Prusina. The film was shot at authentic locations in Herzegovina (Blidinje Nature Park, Široki Brijeg, Peć Mlini near Grude) where tobacco smugglers hid or passed through 70 years ago.

Cinema Video Club Amater participated as the executive production and from the main production Kadar they announced that the premiere of the film could be at the beginning of the summer. “Stigmas” is currently in the post-production phase. The film will be screened at the 23rd Mediterranean Film Festival.
