The winners and David Bowie for the finals
The 23rd edition of the Mediterranean Film Festival in Široki Brijeg is going to be closed with the awards ceremony on Saturday, October 15 in Borak Cinema.

The international jury decides on the best works at MFF in two categories – Grand Prix, best feature documentary is awarded by the jury composed of Mateja Valentinčič, Yevhen Stepanenko and Dragan Nikolić  and the second prize Best Short is awarded by Ivan Živković Žika, Hillel Rate and Iva Kraljević. The audience traditionally decides on the third prize and awards the MFF Audience award.

The film from the MFF workshop will be screened at the closing ceremony, which has been filmed in Široki Brijeg in the past few weeks by high school students attending these workshops together with their colleagues, young filmmakers from America and all this mentored by Lucy Eagleson.

This year's Mediterranean Film Festival, after the awards ceremony, will close with the documentary 'Moonage Daydream' - a cinematic odyssey exploring Bowie's creative, spiritual and musical journey. Written, directed, produced and edited by Brett Morgen, Moonage Daydream features captivating, never-before-seen footage and performances spanning David Bowie's 54-year career.

The film includes 40 exclusively remastered Bowie songs and is the first film ever to be officially authorized by Bowie's Estate, and takes its title from the 1971 Bowie song of the same name.

Film screenings are scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m., when the film "How I Learned to Fly" will be shown in the MFF Fora program. The screenings of the French film 'Akouchetame' and the Italian 'After a Revolution' start from 4 p.m. in the official competition program. From 6 p.m. the competition brings the French film "Abyssal" and the Croatian "Mlungu - The White King".
