Silent Drifter in the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Zagreb
Cinema theatre Gorgona in the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Zagreb was too small for all those who wanted to see the documentary fiction film dedicated to the work of the multi-award-winning painter graphic artist Virgilije Nevjestić, titled The Silent Drifter. Croatian premiere of this film was organised as part of the celebration of the 90th anniversary of Virgilije Nevjestić’s birth, which will be commemorated by the foundation of the same name throughout 2025 with exhibitions and film screenings in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad.

As Vesna Bulatović, president of the Virgilije Nevjestić Foundation, pointed out, "through this jubilee we want to bring Virgilije's legacy, which is rich and, above all, interesting, as evidenced by the numerous awards and exhibitions he received and participated in during his lifetime, closer to the widest domestic, European, and global public". Renowned visual artist Dimitrije Popović and the director of the film Zdenko Jurilj spoke about the film and Vergilije’s artistic achievements.

The documentary fiction film Silent Drifter was produced by Olimp from Zagreb and Kadar from Široki Brijeg, and was financed by HAVC, HRT, the City of Zagreb and the Sarajevo Cinematography Foundation. The following film promotions are in Split, Basel, Zurich, Paris... The film premiered at the Mediterranean Film Festival.
