The Jury for Short Documentaries Includes Grubić, Kraljević and Alagić
The jury, consisting of director and producer Bobby B. Grubić, actor Vinko Kraljević, and dramaturge Melina Alagić, is awarding the best short documentary film at the 26th Mediterranean Film Festival.
This three-member jury brings together experience from various fields of film and theatre arts – from award-winning production and international teaching work, through a rich acting career, to dramaturgical and organisational work in the film industry.
Bobby B. Grubić
Bobby B. Grubić (Director / Producer) is a Multi-Emmy Award winner and recipient of numerous production, marketing, and film awards. In addition, he is a media consulting and international keynote speaker on media convergence, AI, production, and marketing. He graduated from the Professional Producing Program at UCLA and holds a Master’s Degree in Communications from John Hopkins University. His creative development, directing, and production experience includes TV commercial productions, corporate videos, documentaries, tourism promos, biographies, scripted videos, and film projects. His European background and American influence make his art productions a diversified and unique blend that is universally appealing, attention-grabbing, and emotionally moving. Vinko Kraljević
Vinko Kraljević is a Croatian theatre, television, and movie actor. He completed his secondary education in his hometown of Široki Brijeg and graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. During his career, he has had numerous notable roles, including in popular television series such as Velo misto, Dolina sunca, Stipe u gostima, Zora dubrovačka, Crno-bijeli svijet, and many others. He is currently retired.
Melina Alagić
Melina Alagić was born in Čapljina in 1985. She graduated and earned her master's degree in dramaturgy from the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. She is the selector for the BH Film student program and the competitive program of the BiH Looks Around Film Festival in Bottrop, as well as the coordinator for the European Film Challenge for Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the editors of the BH Film program, BH Film catalogue, and the BH Film database. From 2010 to 2013, she worked as a screenwriter for the Children’s and Youth Program at BHT1. From 2013 to 2014, she worked as a drama teaching assistant at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. She currently holds the position of General Secretary of the Association of Filmmakers.
The jury in this composition will decide the winner among ten films competing for the MFF Best Short award at the 26th Mediterranean Film Festival.
