Mediterranean Film Festival Video Library at Home TV

Some of the latest and most intriguing documentaries from last year's Mediterranean Film Festival will be available in the video library that the 26th Mediterranean Film Festival, in collaboration with HT Eronet, will offer to film lovers.

The films that bring powerful, personal, and socially engaged stories from Croatia, Spain, Algeria, and the wider European area will be available to all users of HOME.TV platform.

The audience will have the opportunity to see the film Silver Women, directed by Barbara Babačić, which is an intense portrayal of Bolivian women who live a miserable life within the mining community near the city of Potosi. The film explores women’s contribution to the mining economy, and at the same time raises the issue of their marginalisation.

The program also features a short Spanish documentary Katalipsi, directed by Elaine Sier, in which a police officer infiltrates social and squatter movements in Barcelona, but disappears without a trace, taking with him their most precious thing, their intimacy, raising a question of who really are the people that surround us.

An emotional story also appears in the film The Sardine Roaster, directed by Spanish director Adrián Ordóñez, which follows the character of Manuel Galindo, the last sardine roaster, and brings the story of identity, family, and human connections shaped by the sea, fire, and sand."

The film Pain, directed by Ivana Faktor, comes from Croatia. This is a personal diary entry by the author who, after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, confronts his own everyday life with a camera, transforming documentary scenes into the artist's unique inner world.

The video library also features Memories of an Unborn Sun, directed by Marcel Mrejen, a film co-produced by Algeria, France, and the Netherlands. Written upon testimonies, rumours and fake news, this film questions the architectures of energy shaping the Algerian territory through history and presence, underlining the multiplicity of reality in a post-truth era.

The Festival Video library will be available to the users from October 6 to 12, 2025.

26th Mediterranean Film Festival, whose general sponsor is HT Eronet, is taking place from 7 to 11 October 2025 in Široki Brijeg.
