The new family film "Bumblebee's Summer", directed by Daniel Kušan, will be screened as part of the MFF Fora program at the 26th Mediterranean Film Festival.

The central characters are the children from the island of Trs, whose boring summer turns into the greatest adventure of a lifetime with Fran's arrival, a city “slicker” with a vivid imagination. After his telescope captures a mysterious flash in the night sky, he leads the crew on a nighttime search that leads them to the discovery of an abandoned lighthouse and Chiku, a frightened boy from Africa. They soon realize the “meteor” wasn’t a rock from the sky but the result of a smuggling accident at sea. Pursued by the Man in Black, the children hide Chiku and set out to expose a human trafficking network. The conflict comes to a head when Bumbar uncovers the identity of the threatening figure. 

The same program also features short films created at the summer children's camp “Zelenkapica“ and the creative summer workshop “Zabavator“. 

Screening of the film “Bumblebee’s Summer” and domestic short films is scheduled for Saturday, 11 October, at 10 a.m. in Borak Cinema. 

26th Mediterranean Film Festival, whose general sponsor is HT Eronet, is taking place from 7 to 11 October 2025 in Široki Brijeg.
