Nine feature and ten short documentaries in the 27th MFF competition program
Široki Brijeg will once again become a meeting place for documentary films, authors, and audiences from September 23 to 26. The Mediterranean Film Festival in the official competition will feature 19 documentary films — nine feature-length and ten short films. In addition to the films in competition, the festival audience can look forward to a number of other film titles throughout the festival, with more information to be announced soon.

From personal stories to major historical and social themes, this year’s program features films that do not offer easy answers. Instead, they raise questions about who we are, where we belong, what we remember, and how we live in a constantly changing world.

The competition program features stories about people trying to find their own way, places disappearing, memories that stay with us, borders that divide, and bonds that that bring them back together.  We will also see films that revisit major historical figures and events, but portray them from a new, personal perspective.
